We are a blockchain and data analytics startup based in Singapore, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our forward-thinking team. You will play a key role in building a robust and scalable data infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge on-chain data products. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for processing blockchain and on-chain data.
- Build and optimize data storage solutions, including data lakes and warehouses tailored for on-chain data.
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure efficient access to blockchain data for insights and analytics.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all systems and processes.
- Create and manage data schemas, models, and APIs to support the needs of products and platforms.
- Monitor and maintain data miner hardware, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement robust data security measures and enforce access controls to comply with industry standards.
- Optimize query performance for large-scale blockchain datasets to enable fast and efficient data retrieval.
- Collaborate with the CTO and cross-functional teams to drive the development of data-driven Web3 products.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Implement Docker for containerization to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Set up and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for efficient and reliable deployments.
- Develop distributed data processing pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark) to handle large-scale datasets effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years in data engineering or similar roles (New graduates are welcome).
- Blockchain Expertise: Strong understanding of blockchain technology, including smart contracts and on-chain analytics.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and Rust.Big
- Data Tools: Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and PySpark.
- Databases: Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Cloud Platforms: Expertise in cloud services such as AWS, GCP, and their data-related offerings.
- ETL &Streaming: Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and real-time data pipeline best practices.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience using Terraform for infrastructure deployment.
- Containerization: Strong knowledge of Docker for building and deploying containerized applications.
- CI/CD Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for automating CI/CD workflows.
- DevOps & Version Control: Experience with Git, Linux server management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- DeFi & Web3 Development: Experience with DeFi application development and Web3 libraries.
