Position Summary
The Data Governance Process Analyst will support the implementation of company-wide data governance initiatives by analyzing business processes, identifying data risks, and translating governance policies into operational workflows and system requirements.
This role will work closely with Business Units, Data Engineering, Security/IT, and Legal teams to document data flows, identify ownership, and ensure data governance standards (e.g., data classification, access control, and data usage policies) are embedded into daily operations and digital systems.
The Process Analyst plays a key role in facilitating cross-functional alignment, tracking governance initiatives, and ensuring that governance controls are practically adopted across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance Process Analysis & Implementation
Analyze and document current data-related processes across Business Units.
Support the implementation of data governance initiatives such as:
o Data discovery and data flow mapping
o Data classification framework
o Access control standards (Column-Level Security / Row-Level Security)
o Data leak prevention initiatives
Translate governance policies into operational processes, workflows, and system requirements.
Work with technical teams to ensure governance controls are embedded into digital platforms and applications.
2. Process Discovery & Data Flow Mapping
Facilitate workshops with Business Units to identify:
o Data sources and data flows
Public
o Data owners and data users
o Data sharing practices
o Potential data risk points (export, external sharing, uncontrolled access)
Document current-state processes and identify governance gaps.
Recommend process improvements to reduce data risks and improve accountability.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
o Business Unit leaders
o Data engineers and system developers
o IT / Security teams
o Legal / PDPA officers
Act as a facilitator between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure governance requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
4. Risk & Incident Analysis
Support investigation and root cause analysis for data-related incidents (e.g., data leaks or unauthorized data sharing).
Identify process gaps that may contribute to data risks.
Recommend short-term and long-term process improvements to mitigate risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in Process Analysis, Business Analysis, or Data-related roles
Experience analyzing and documenting business processes and workflows
Basic understanding of:
o Data governance concepts
o Data privacy and PDPA principles
o Access control models (RBAC / role-based access)
Ability to translate business requirements into process documentation and system requirements
Strong stakeholder facilitation and communication skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams (business, IT, and data teams)
Preferred Qualifications (Plus)
Experience working with data platforms or analytics environments (e.g., data warehouses, BI platforms)
Familiarity with data classification, access control concepts (CLS/RLS), or data security practices
Experience with workflow or process automation tools (e.g., Kissflow, AppSheet, or similar platforms)
Experience supporting governance, compliance, or risk-related initiatives
