Data Governance Specialist - 1-year Contract
The Data Governance Specialist will help strengthen the enterprise data governance foundation by translating policies, standards, ownership models, and governance principles into practical ways of working across business domains, data products, platforms, and transformation programs. The role requires a balance of governance expertise, stakeholder management, and pragmatic implementation support
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of Data Governance operating model, including ownership, stewardship, governance forums, and decision rights.
- Enable Data Governance roles through guidance, templates, onboarding, and governance support.
- Govern business rules and ownership across priority domains.
- Drive Data Quality governance, including issue ownership, prioritization, and escalation processes.
- Represent Data Governance in transformation initiatives and help translate governance requirements into project deliverables.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to embed governance into day-to-day ways of working.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Stewardship, Data Quality, Metadata, Master Data, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, policies, and standards.
- Able to bridge business and technical teams and translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience working with project backlogs, Jira, and structured delivery methodologies.
- Fluent in English and Native Thai speaker
Good-to-have Skills
- Experience with data governance dashboard creation, or data quality tools.
- Experience within manufacturing, supply chain, retail, e-commerce, or product data domains.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs.
