We are supporting a leading global organization in hiring a Data Governance Specialist. This is a greenfield opportunity to build and shape an enterprise-wide data governance framework from the ground up. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's data governance framework, including policies, standards, and data classification models
- Lead master data management initiatives across SAP and nonSAP systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of key data domains
- Establish and monitor data quality standards, partnering with Data Stewards and business units to improve data quality across the organization
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, PDPA) and develop controls for data access and lifecycle management
- Recommend and manage data governance and MDM tools, and oversee external vendors involved in system configuration or data initiatives
- Facilitate crossfunctional collaboration by leading data governance councils, workshops, and training to promote a datadriven culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- Over 7 years of experience in data governance, MDM, or data management
- Familiarity with SAP master data, SAP MDG, and enterprise MDM processes
- Understanding of GDPR, PDPA, and global data privacy standards
- Certifications (e.g., DAMA CDMP, SAP MDG, Collibra) are a plus
- Proven background in vendor management and project management
- Full proficiency in English communication
