About This Role

In a technology-driven lending business, data is at the core of everything we build. We are looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to lead our privacy and data protection program, ensuring that personal data is handled responsibly, securely, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

This role sits at the intersection of privacy, data, and technology, working closely with product, engineering, and data teams to embed privacy-by-design into systems and decision-making.

What Will You Do

Data Protection & Privacy Leadership

  • Lead and own the company's data protection (PDPA) program
  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, including data mapping and lifecycle management
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations

Privacy Risk Management


  • Conduct and review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
  • Identify and mitigate privacy risks across products, systems, and data use cases
  • Embed privacy-by-design principles into product and system architecture

Data Subject Rights & Incident Management


  • Manage data subject rights processes (access, correction, deletion, etc.)
  • Lead data breach response, investigation, and reporting
  • Ensure proper documentation and risk mitigation actions

Regulatory Engagement


  • Act as the primary point of contact for data protection regulators
  • Support regulatory inquiries, audits, and compliance reviews
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation

Governance & Culture


  • Develop and enforce privacy policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Conduct internal training and awareness programs
  • Drive a privacy-first culture across the organization

Who We Are Looking For


  • 3+ years of experience in data protection, privacy, or compliance roles
  • Strong knowledge of PDPA / GDPR or similar frameworks
  • Experience with DPIA, data lifecycle management, and breach handling
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data teams
  • Experience in fintech, digital lending, or tech-driven businesses
  • Industry certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of data architecture or system design concepts
