Data Scientist Manager (AI/ML)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver scalable AI/ML solutions
• Oversee end-to-end model development from exploration to production, ensuring quality, compliance, and business alignment
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases
• Establish best practices for AI/ML model lifecycle management (e.g., data versioning, retraining, monitoring)
• Act as a thought partner in shaping data science strategy and roadmap
• Contribute to talent development, hiring, and fostering a strong data science culture
• Stay current on industry trends and regulatory considerations, particularly in financial services and virtual banking

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in data science, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record in deploying machine learning models to production in real-world business settings
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into strategic actions
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, generative AI framework (e.g. Langchain, LlamaIndex), reinforcement learning, graph analytics and MLOps practices
• Experience in the financial domain (e.g., lending, insurance, investment) is a strong plus
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and tools such as Python, SQL, and MLflow
