Responsibilities
General Responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring and successful delivery of a mega-scale data centre (DC) new build project. Lead the end-to-end execution of the DC construction project from design through commissioning and handover. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and resources. Ensure adherence to project objectives, KPIs and contractual requirements agreed with external parties (e.g. customers, landlords, agencies/ authorities, vendors). Manage the procurement, contracts and vendor performance.
Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact between client, consultants, contractors, and local authorities. Manage stakeholder expectations and communication effectively. Coordinate with corporate and regional teams for reporting and approvals.
Technical & Construction Oversight Oversee civil, structural, architectural, MEP, critical systems (power, cooling, fire protection, security). Support design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments. Provide technical guidance to technical challenges and resolve any technical issues that arise during the construction process, commissioning and handover stages. Ensuring compliance with relevant industry codes, Thai regulatory requirements, permits and approvals. Monitors project progress, identify and resolve issues, and provide regular status updates to key stakeholders. Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet technical specifications and compliance requirements.
Quality, Safety & Compliance Enforce strict health, safety and environmental (EHS) standards on site. Monitor quality control procedures, inspections, and testing. Launch and implement First-of-Kind (FOK)/ mock-ups programme for the project to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Commissioning & Handover Coordinate Integrated System Testing (IST) and commissioning activities. Ensure smooth handover to operations team with complete documentation. Support in achieving certification for the DC (ISO, LEED etc)
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field. 12 to 15 years of experience in project management, preferably in the Data Center (DC).
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of DC technologies, regulations, Infrastructure, sequence of work, SOO, QA/QC, CxM, and EHS is preferred. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Should have good understanding of DC project delivery cycle. Should be proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations. Should be familiar with local permitting process. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification would be an advantage.
