Job Summary
The Dealing Specialist S3 will be responsible for executing and monitoring investment trades, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, and providing support for various dealing room operations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets and trading protocols.
What You Will Get To Do:
- Execute trades across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives, as per client instructions and portfolio manager directives.
- Monitor market movements, news, and events to identify trading opportunities and potential risks.
- Ensure all trades are executed in compliance with internal dealing policies, regulatory guidelines, and best execution principles.
- Reconcile trade bookings and resolve any discrepancies with counterparties and back-office teams.
- Prepare and distribute daily trade reports and market commentary to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with the onboarding of new counterparties and maintain existing broker relationships.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving trading efficiency, systems, and processes.
- Provide support for ad-hoc requests and inquiries from portfolio managers and clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market practices, industry regulations, and technological advancements in trading.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a dealing or trading support role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of various financial instruments and market structures.
- Proven experience with order management systems (OMS) and execution management systems (EMS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CMFAS, CFA) are a plus.
