Job Description

We're looking for an execution-focused, highly organized Commercial Event Planning (Department Manager) to lead onsite activations, PC events, and supplier partnership events across Makro stores nationwide. This role ensures smooth coordination between stores, suppliers, Commercial Teams, and Marketing teams, delivering impactful in-store customer engagement and sales-driving activities. Ideal for someone who is operationally strong, detail-oriented, and proactive, with experience in offline retail events or trade marketing.

Event Planning & Execution Management

  • Plan and execute PC (Promoter/Brand Ambassador) in-store events, ensuring clear mechanics, setup instructions, and performance KPIs.
  • Develop standardized event playbooks and shop-floor guidelines for store teams.
  • Manage annual and monthly onsite activation calendars, aligning with commercial and marketing plans.
  • Coordinate store briefings, logistic preparation, booth setup, and onsite material delivery.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Trade, IP, and CRM teams to integrate store-level activation with national campaigns (e.g., Double Day, Holiday, SEA Games, Hamper).
  • Work with Store Ops to ensure setup feasibility, manpower allocation, and operational alignment.
  • Liaise with vendors or agencies for booth production, equipment, promoters, and event staffing.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track onsite event performance (sales uplift, sampling-to-conversion rate, traffic increase).
  • Prepare weekly/monthly event performance dashboards for Commercial and Marketing leadership.
  • Identify best practices and improvement opportunities for future events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related field.
  • At least +4 years of experience in events, trade marketing, offline activations, or supplier partnerships.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, capable of handling multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience working with store operations and suppliers is strongly preferred.
  • Good analytical skills with ability to track uplift and event performance metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving and execution capability, with high ownership.
  • English proficiency for cross-functional and supplier communication.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and manage nationwide event logistics.
