Job Purpose
To support the strategic development and execution of Makro's e-commerce and B2B businesses by providing structured business insights, strategic analysis, and cross-functional coordination to enable informed decision-making and sustainable growth. This role acts as a
strategy enabler and business partner, supporting leadership in translating strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and performance monitoring, without direct ownership of commercial operations.
Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Business Planning
- Support the development of short- and mid-term strategies for Makro e-commerce and B2B businesses in alignment with overall corporate direction.
- Conduct strategic analysis on market trends, customer behavior, channel performance, and competitive landscape to support strategic decision-making.
- Translate strategic directions into structured business plans, initiatives, and roadmaps for execution tracking.
- Support annual planning, mid-year reviews, and strategic presentations for management and leadership forums.
Business Performance & Insight Support
- Monitor and analyze key business performance indicators (KPIs) related to e-commerce and B2B channels.
- Provide regular performance insights, variance analysis, and issue identification to support management reviews.
- Develop structured reports, dashboards, and management materials to support leadership discussions.
- Identify performance gaps, improvement opportunities, and business risks based on data-driven insights.
Cross-functional Coordination & Strategic Execution Support
- Act as a coordination point between strategy, commercial, operations, technology, and other related functions to support strategic initiatives.
- Track progress of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
- Support governance processes, milestone tracking, and issue escalation related to strategic projects.
- Facilitate alignment meetings and prepare materials for steering committees or leadership reviews.
Business Case & Initiative Support
- Support preparation and review of business cases, investment proposals, and initiative justifications related to e-commerce and B2B growth.
- Assist in assessing financial impact, operational feasibility, and strategic alignment of proposed initiatives.
- Support post-implementation reviews to assess outcomes versus objectives.
Ad-hoc Strategic Support
- Provide ad-hoc strategic analysis and support as requested by senior management.
- Support special projects related to digital transformation, B2B capability building, or new business models.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in strategy, business planning, management consulting, ecommerce, B2B, or related analytical roles
- Experience in developing strategic plans, analyzing business performance, or supporting cross-functional initiatives is preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau) and comfort working with KPIs and business performance metrics.
- Good understanding of ecommerce, digital business models, or B2B commercial operations is advantageous
