Our client is a leading, nationwide financial services platform in Thailand. The company operates a highly profitable, asset-backed lending business with a strong branch network and loyal customer base. It is now entering its next phase of growth—evolving from a traditional operator into a modern, technology-enabled financial platform, with ambitions to scale, diversify products, and strengthen institutional capabilities.
The Deputy CEO is expected to:
- Scale the business sustainably while maintaining strong profitability
- Drive transformation from operational excellence → platform-based growth
- Introduce structure, discipline, and data-driven management
- Balance growth ambition with risk control in a lending environment
- Act as a true partner to the CEO, with potential to step into a future CEO role
Responsibilities
- Serve as Deputy CEO, partnering closely with CEO to drive next phase of growth and transformation
- Lead execution, strategy, expanding beyond core pawn lending into a broader financial services platform
- Own end-to-end P&L, including loan growth, yield, cost management, and overall profitability
- Drive business expansion initiatives (digital lending, new products, channel development)
- Oversee and optimize nationwide branch operations and network performance
- Lead process improvement and operational excellence, including standardization, efficiency, and turnaround time
- Strengthen data-driven management, leveraging analytics to improve pricing, productivity, and customer lifecycle
- Spearhead digital transformation, including omnichannel customer journeys and platform development
- Establish and enhance risk management frameworks, including collateral valuation, LTV policies, and market risk controls
- Partner with finance team on capital allocation, funding strategy, and financial planning
- Build and lead a high-performance leadership team, instilling KPI-driven culture and accountability
- Act as key interface with CEO, shareholders, and external stakeholders
Requirements
- 20+ years experience in financial services, consumer finance, or fintech
- Strong preference with solid financial background (banking, lending, credit business)
- Proven track record in scaling lending or multi-branch operations
- Deep understanding of lending economics, portfolio management, and risk-return trade-offs
- Strong expertise in operations management and process improvement
- Hands-on operator with ability to drive execution at scale
- Experience leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives
- Strong commercial acumen with disciplined risk management mindset
- Comfortable working in founder-led, fast-growing organization
