Job Description

The Deputy CFO will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires direct experience with a listed company and a deep understanding of the property development sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Assist the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
  • Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Oversee quarterly and annual reporting requirements for the listed company.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and corporate governance standards.

Treasury and Risk Management:

  • Manage the company's treasury functions, including cash flow management, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.

Investor Relations:

  • Support the CFO in managing relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing investor presentations, earnings calls, and other communications.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the finance department.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

  • Assist in evaluating and executing M&A opportunities, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and Accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Direct experience with a listed company, including knowledge of regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the property development sectors.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in financial software and SAP systems.
