About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager to support strategic planning and drive multifactory operational excellence for a leading manufacturing company in Thailand. This role plays a key part in longterm business development, plant operations management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Business Planning
- Participate in major corporate decision-making.
- Support the development of company strategies, growth plans, and operational objectives.
- Ensure effective execution of strategy across daily business operations.
2. Operations Management (Multiple Factories)
- Oversee daily operations of three production plants.
- Ensure KPIs in quality, cost, production efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance are achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Development
- Strengthen and optimize internal management systems.
- Promote collaboration across departments and across plants.
- Lead team building, capability development, and talent readiness.
4. Internal & External Stakeholder Management
- Help maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Identify market opportunities and advanced production technologies.
- Improve manufacturing capability and competitiveness.
5. Acting Responsibilities
- Serve as the Acting General Manager when delegated, overseeing end-to-end business operations.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or above in:
- Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Production/Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering & Automation, Food Science, Food R&D, Applied Chemistry, or related fields.
- Overseas study experience is a plus.
Experience
- 8+ years in the modified starch industry, OR
- 10+ years in food/ingredient or related manufacturing with full factory + overall business operations management experience.
- Strong production or production technology background required.
- Multinational company experience preferred.
- Proven experience managing stakeholders and building strong business relationships.
Language Skills
- Chinese (Fluent / Native)
- English (Fluent)
- Thai language is an advantage.
