Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

Plays a strategic role in leading and overseeing the accounting and tax operations of all companies within the Betagro Group, both domestically and internationally. This includes managing Operational Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets management, Credit Management, and regional accounting across the country. The objective is to ensure financial reports are accurate, transparent, and compliant with accounting standards, tax laws, and policies, as well as strategic tax planning to enhance financial efficiency and organizational sustainability, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and create agility in financial management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Strategic Planning, Accounting Policy, and Group Financial Statement Oversight (25%) • Define strategies, policies, and operational standards for accounting and finance in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS/TFRS), tax laws, and requirements of each country. • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. • Develop internal control systems for accounting and finance, including monitoring the quality of financial data. • Analyze financial performance to support management's decision-making.
  2. Oversight of Operational Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Management Accounting (15%) • Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, and period-end closing. • Oversee Cost Accounting and Management Accounting to support performance analysis. • Elevate operational standards and efficiency through Shared Service and Service Excellence.
  3. Group Tax Management and Tax Benefits (15%) • Define guidelines and oversee tax management both domestically and internationally to comply with laws and reduce organizational risk. • Oversee tax filing, compliance with regulations, and tax management for the group. • Manage the utilization of BOI benefits efficiently and in accordance with conditions. • Oversee tax planning, transaction structures, and the management of Transfer Pricing and international tax requirements. • Provide tax consultation and advice.
  4. Oversight of Regional and International Accounting (10%) • Manage and oversee accounting teams in regional and international locations, including Cambodia and Laos. • Establish standards and consistency for accounting and financial processes across the group. • Support the development of team capabilities in each area.
  5. Working Capital Management and Credit Oversight (10%) • Define policies and oversee credit and accounts receivable management at the organizational level. • Monitor debt risk, collections, and working capital efficiency. • Support business growth balanced with risk control.
  6. Risk Management and Oversight (10%) • Develop internal control systems and manage risks related to accounting, finance, and relevant laws. • Oversee the disclosure of information related to financial reports and Sustainability Disclosure as required.
  7. Team Management and Personnel Development (5%)
  • Manage and develop large accounting teams, both domestic and international, to possess potential, expertise, and professionalism.
  • Foster an organizational culture that promotes learning, collaboration, and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a leading institution.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or other relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CMA, CFA) will be given special consideration.
  • At least 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 8-10 years in a senior accounting and finance management position (Director or Controller) in a large organization.
  • Direct and in-depth experience in managing management accounting, cost accounting, and tax in agribusiness, food business, or complex multinational group companies.
  • Extensive experience in using and improving ERP systems (SAP), especially CO/FI modules, and leading Digital Transformation in accounting.
  • Experience in managing large and diverse accounting and finance teams.
  • Strong strategic leadership and the ability to manage large and diverse cultural teams.
  • Deep understanding of management accounting principles, cost accounting, tax laws, and international accounting standards (IFRS/TFRS), tax laws, and related regulations both domestically and internationally.
  • Ability for strategic analytical thinking, solving complex problems, and making decisions under uncertain situations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to senior executives, board members, and stakeholders (excellent in both Thai and English).
  • Proficient in Project Management and driving organizational change.
  • Meticulous, honest, highly ethical, and professional.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the business and can link financial information to business strategy.
