Design Engineer (Packaging – Foam & Paper)

82/25 Bang Phli Yai Subdistrict, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan 10540

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop packaging solutions (e.g., foam, corrugated, molded pulp) to ensure product protection and cost efficiency
2. Create 2D/3D designs and technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools
3. Analyze transportation risks including impact and vibration to optimize packaging performance
4. Plan and conduct packaging tests such as Drop Test, Compression Test, and other relevant validations
5. Apply international testing standards such as ISTA and ASTM to ensure compliance and reliability
6. Evaluate test results and continuously improve packaging design for performance and cost optimization
7. Collaborate with internal teams (production, quality) as well as customers and suppliers to ensure project success
8. Control material costs and drive design efficiency improvements without compromising quality
9. Support new product development (NPD) and packaging industrialization processes

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Packaging, or related field)
2. Proven experience in packaging design or product design, preferably in foam or paper-based materials
3. Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
4. Strong knowledge of packaging materials such as foam, paper, and cushioning systems
5. Understanding of packaging test standards (ISTA, ASTM)
6. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
