DevOps Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time DevOps role for a Middle to Senior-level engineer. The DevOps Engineer will manage and operate Linux-based infrastructure, including storage, virtualization, and applications that depend on them, while supporting large-scale server architecture. A core part of the role involves operating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, with on-premise experience considered a strong advantage, as well as setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Helm. The DevOps Engineer will support both container-based and monolithic infrastructure, and work hands-on with data and middleware tools including SQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch. Automation is a key responsibility, with Shell and Python scripting used to streamline infrastructure tasks. This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, security, and IT operations teams, along with strong communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. The DevOps Engineer will also join an on-call rotation to support issues that arise after business hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on DevOps experience, with working knowledge of Kubernetes (MUST HAVE)
• On-premise Kubernetes experience or cluster architecture/migration experience is a strong plus
• Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Helm); experience defining CI/CD standards from scratch is a plus for senior-level consideration
• Experience supporting container-based infrastructure and monolith systems
• Familiarity with tools such as SQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch (production troubleshooting experience is a plus)
• Solid Shell/Python scripting skills for automation
• Strong communication, customer management, and presentation skills
• Experience collaborating across development, infrastructure, security, and IT operations teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Willing to be on-call periodically for after-hours support
• Previous experience in software development, infrastructure development, or dev+ops hybrid roles is a plus
