Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating application deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Manage and configure cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure scalability, availability, and security.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to enable efficient provisioning and management of resources.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of production systems and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to ensure code quality, performance, and security best practices are followed.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for container orchestration.
  • Implement and maintain centralized logging and monitoring solutions (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Participate in on-call rotation for handling critical incidents and outages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI).
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerized application deployment.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with log analysis, performance monitoring, and intrusion detection tools.
  • Experience with serverless computing platforms (e.g., AWS Lambda).
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
