Position Overview

This role sits at the core of the company's infrastructure team, responsible for owning and operating systems that serve tens of millions of urban commuters daily. You will design and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure across non-prod and prod environments, build internal tooling that enables product teams to ship independently, and drive observability and reliability to sustain 99.99%+ uptime across 150+ microservices.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end infrastructure across non-prod and prod environments, including self-managed databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka)
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support hundreds of continuous real-time deployments to production daily
• Build and maintain container orchestration on Kubernetes, ensuring reliability and scalability across a 150+ microservice architecture
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and Chef/Puppet
• Instrument and improve observability across the stack using Prometheus and Grafana; define and own SLOs/SLAs targeting 99.99%+ uptime
• Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, security gaps, and reliability risks across systems handling 100K+ RPS at edge gateways
• Collaborate with software engineering teams (Golang, Java, Node.js) to enforce DevOps best practices and streamline release processes

Must Have Criteria

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role
• Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems and systems administration
• Practical experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration in production environments
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools: Terraform and Ansible
• Proficiency in scripting using Python or Go for automation tasks
• Familiarity with self-managed databases and middleware: MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, or Kafka
• B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree/experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Chef or Puppet for configuration management
• Exposure to monitoring and alerting stacks: Prometheus and Grafana
• Working knowledge of Golang or Java at a code-reading/debugging level
• Prior exposure to high-scale, event-driven microservices environments (100K+ RPS or equivalent)
• Familiarity with 100% OSS infrastructure stacks
