What you'll do:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing and reliability of supply. Act with more autonomy and/or handles a larger purchasing budget.
Job holders may be specialized in cost analysis of sourced products based on detailed knowledge of our products and industry. Establish a costing structure for quotations, analyze and compare material, labor and overhead cost in support of the sourcing team.
In detail, you will:
- Structure and manage relationships with local and overseas suppliers
- Manage and interact with internal counter parts and Global base (Purchasing, Quality, Supply chain, R&D and Finance organizations)
- Support to implement 12-month cost out (VA/VE) activities, re-negotiations and initiate cost reduction project proposals
- Perform variance and cost breakdown analysis
- Manage local contribution / localization activities
- Cooperate with counter parts in Procurement Business Area and Global organization.
- Manage relationships with local and oversea suppliers
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Engineering. Master's Degree is a plus.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in direct material buying, preferably from Home Appliance business and manufacturing environment
- Good English proficiency (both written and spoken)
Knowledge:
- Washing Machine, Refrigerator and Cooktop Product knowledge
- Knowledge in Plastics raw materials
- Knowledge in Plastics components production process
- Cost analysis

Where you'll be:
You will be based our Rayong plant and report to Purchasing Manager.
