Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Strategic Execution
- Develop, drive, and manage end-to-end master project plans, critical path schedules, and multi-million-dollar capital budgets.
- Strategically allocate and direct global and local resources (personnel, specialized equipment, materials) to ensure lean, execution-focused delivery.
- Act as the primary technical bridge between design team architects, engineering consultants, general contractors, and trade subcontractors.
Cost Control & Financial Governance
- Maintain rigorous oversight of financial performance, cash flow, and cost control frameworks to prevent budget slippage.
- Review, negotiate, and approve project expenditures, prime contracts, major change orders, and progress payments.
Quality Assurance, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Enforce strict compliance with local Thai building regulations, international safety mandates, and contractual commitments.
- Institute robust Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) programs to uphold tier-level construction standards and craftsmanship.
Stakeholder Management & Client Relations
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) and trusted advisor for key project clients and internal executive sponsors.
- Deliver transparent, regular reporting regarding project health, critical milestones, risk profiles, and resource constraints.
Risk Mitigation & Commercial Strategy
- Proactively identify design, supply chain, and site execution risks, implementing targeted mitigation strategies before critical path delays occur.
- Ensure comprehensive site insurance coverage and non-negotiable adherence to global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols.
Vendor & Procurement Oversight
- Direct general contractor (GC) management to ensure alignment between site execution, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Drive vendor evaluation, procurement, and contract negotiations to secure competitive commercial terms for long-lead equipment and direct-procured materials.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary site delivery team, including construction managers, project engineers, and safety officers.
- Cultivate an accountable, high-performance culture grounded in cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of progressive construction management experience.
- Minimum 5 years directly leading hyperscale data center developments or other complex mission-critical projects (e.g., semiconductor labs, pharmaceutical facilities, heavy industrial energy plants).
- Skills:
- Exceptional multi-project leadership, financial acumen, and high-stakes contract negotiation ability.
- Fluency in industry-standard project management platforms (Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project) and enterprise tools.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) designations strongly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in heavy industrial/commercial construction workflows, local Thai permitting procedures, and global data center design standards (power, cooling, redundancy).
