The Director of Global Sales is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy across designated global regions and all segments (Corporate Transient, Wholesales Leisure, MICE, Groups and Long Stay) for full-service hotels and serviced apartment from North Asia region including Greater China, South Korea and Japan to maximize revenue, market share, and brand presence for the company's portfolio of properties. The role focuses on building long-term, value-based relationships with key global accounts, travel partners, and third-party intermediaries.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation (Hands-On Focus)
- Develop and implement global sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives and revenue goals.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive research, and trend monitoring to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Contribute to the annual sales plan, performance review and enhancement plan, and budgeting process for assigned global territories.
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively solicit and secure new business from global accounts across key segments (e.g., Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Group).
- Build, strengthen, and manage relationships with key global clients, travel partners, tour operators, and third-party planners.
- Lead and coordinate participation in industry tradeshows, sales missions, and FAM trips on behalf of the company.
- Negotiate and execute complex sales contracts, ensuring profitability and alignment with brand standards.
Account Management & Relationship Building
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for high-priority global accounts.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business (e.g., generating proposals, contract drafting, client communication).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and activity
- Gather feedback from clients to inform service improvements and product enhancements.
Leadership & Coordination
- Collaborate closely with property-level Directors of Sales and Revenue Management teams to ensure consistent execution of global strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert on global market conditions and sales best practices for internal teams.
- Represent the brand positively and professionally in all internal and external interactions.
- Cross Functional Liaison: Coordinate closely with the revenue management, operations, brand & marketing team to ensure seamless execution of business and optimal revenue yield.
