We're hiring: Accounting Director

Location: Bangkok (Rama 3), Thailand (on-site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and control end-to-end accounting operations under shared services model, covering Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets & Depreciation, and Inventory & Cost Accounting.
  • Establish, standardize, and continuously improve accounting processes, SOPs, and internal controls across all brands and business units.
  • Ensure smooth operation of accounting shared services while maintaining high standards of service quality, accuracy, timeliness, and turnaround time.
  • Act as escalation point for complex accounting matters, inter-company transactions, operational exceptions, and accounting judgment issues.
  • Own and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations including bank reconciliations, AR/AP reconciliations, inventory reconciliation with warehouse and supply chain, and fixed asset reconciliation with proper asset tagging control.
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Partner closely with FP&A and CFO to ensure accuracy and reliability of management reports and financial insights.
  • Oversee full compliance with Thai tax regulations, including preparation, review, and submission of PND.3, PND.53, PND.54, PND.50, PND.51, VAT (PP.30, PP.36), and other related
  • Liaise with Revenue Department, auditors, and external tax advisors to ensure tax compliance, audit readiness, and effective issue resolution.
  • Ensure proper tax planning, documentation, and risk management while monitoring regulatory changes and assessing business impact.
  • Lead statutory audit, internal audit, and ad-hoc financial reviews, ensuring full compliance with internal control frameworks and corporate governance standards.
  • Identify accounting risks, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Strengthen accounting documentation, approval workflows, and segregation of duties to enhance financial control and transparency.
  • Act as Finance Shared Services business partner to Brand & Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain & Warehouse, Retail, and E-Commerce teams.
  • Support accounting processes related to purchase orders (PO), goods receipt (GR), invoice matching, inventory movements, write-offs, CAPEX, and asset capitalization.
  • Provide accounting guidance and advisory support to non-finance stakeholders to ensure correct execution, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Accounting Shared Services teams across AR, AP, GL, and Tax functions.
  • Drive performance management, workload optimization, talent development, and succession planning within the accounting organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, continuous improvement, and strong service mindset across the accounting team.
  • Partner with HR on team structure design, headcount planning, capability building, and long-term talent pipeline development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA Thailand) preferred.
  • Minimum 1015 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership or shared services environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in: Full accounting operations, Month-end close & reconciliation, Thai taxation and statutory reporting
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, fashion, manufacturing, or multi-entity organizations is highly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Thai accounting standards and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Thai and English.
