The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all engineering and technical operations. This role requires a visionary leader with strong operational expertise, project management capabilities, and the ability to develop high-performing teams while ensuring the achievement of organizational goals and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team to drive high performance, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, capital projects, preventive maintenance plans, and departmental objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including capital expenditure planning and cost-control initiatives.
- Oversee all engineering operations, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Drive the execution of engineering projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to support operational excellence and business objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead sustainability, energy-saving, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and maintenance procedures.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding facility improvements, risk management, and long-term engineering planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in engineering management, preferably in resort hospitality,
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and operational planning.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance operations, and engineering best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Proactive, strategic mindset with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
