Director of Engineering

The Engineering Director leads engineering strategy and execution across multiple manufacturing sites, focusing on automation, reliability, utilities optimization, and capital investments to drive operational efficiency and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with business and operational goals
• Lead automation and digitalization initiatives (e.g., smart manufacturing)
• Oversee multi-site engineering, standardizing processes and KPIs
• Manage end-to-end CapEx projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
• Drive maintenance excellence (reliability, uptime, asset optimization)
• Optimize utilities and energy performance across sites
• Lead cost improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field
• 12+ years of experience in engineering within food and beverage manufacturing or related industries
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing multi-site operations
• Strong experience in automation, CapEx, and maintenance strategies
• Proven track record in cost optimization and operational efficiency
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English
