We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Director of Engineering to lead the Engineering Division and ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, safety, and sustainability of all hotel facilities and systems.
As a member of the
Executive Committee, the Director of Engineering plays a strategic leadership role in driving operational excellence, asset protection, energy management, capital planning, and exceptional guest experiences while supporting the hotel's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Engineering operations, including building maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen and laundry equipment, fire and life safety systems, preventive maintenance programs, and landscaping.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize asset reliability and minimize downtime.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, health and safety requirements, fire and life safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage the Engineering budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Lead energy conservation and sustainability initiatives to improve operational efficiency and support the hotel's ESG objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee renovation projects, capital expenditures (CAPEX), and maintenance projects.
- Collaborate closely with all departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests and operational support.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Participate actively in Executive Committee meetings and contribute to the hotel's strategic planning, business performance, and operational decision-making.
- Ensure the hotel's facilities consistently meet luxury hospitality standards and deliver a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience for guests and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of engineering leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a Director of Engineering or senior engineering management role.
- Strong technical knowledge of hotel building systems, engineering operations, preventive maintenance, and project management.
- Excellent knowledge of fire and life safety regulations, risk management, and statutory compliance.
- Proven leadership, financial acumen, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in engineering maintenance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
