THE ROLE: FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING DIRECTOR (Bangkok)

Reporting directly to the CEO, Quo Group's Bangkok headquarters is actively seeking a dynamic and engaged Finance and Accounting Director to manage a small team during a phase of robust expansion.

This pivotal role is designed for a leader keen to drive our financial operations forward, ensuring strategic alignment with our growth objectives. Your role has a strong focus on maintaining precise and compliant financial and management reporting while developing and implementing robust financial procedures and strategies. You will spearhead forecasting and management consolidation of 5 entities and collaborate closely with various departments to facilitate informed decisions. You will work with highly reputable auditors and advisors in Thailand and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Consolidation

. Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for multiple mid-size entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

. Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely submission of financial reports to management and parent companies.

Team Supervision and Development

.Supervise and mentor a dedicated team of professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.

. Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs to ensure continuous development of the accounting team.

Budgeting and Forecasting

. Assist the CFO in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analysing financial data to identify trends and variances.

. Provide financial analysis and guidance on profitability, revenue, and expenditure to support strategic decision-making.

Audit and Compliance

. Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating audits and ensuring all financial documentation is prepared and available for review.

. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, addressing any audit findings and making necessary adjustments

. Assist the CFO in the development of transfer pricing policies

Working Capital Management

. Oversee the AP and AR functions, ensuring efficient management of cash flow and working capital.

. Ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections, and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Communication

. Maintain effective communication with management and functional leaders to provide updates on financial status and performance.

. Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the CFO and other key stakeholders as required.

Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.

. Excellent English communication skills

. Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and financial consolidation processes.

. Proficiency in financial software and systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.

. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.

. Experience in coordinating with auditors and understanding of audit processes.
