Our client is a multi-national, multi-billion dollar company. The client is now searching for a FP&A Director as part of their expansion in the region. The FP&A Director is a strategic finance leader who partners with the General Manager to turn data into insight that shapes business unit strategy. The role leads the evolution of the finance function, automating processes and building a culture of high-performance business partnering across Operations, Supply Chain, and HR.
Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Executive Advisory: Serve as primary financial partner to the GM and cross-functional leadership, shaping decisions through data-driven insight.
- Strategic Growth & Investment: Bring financial rigor to major program launches and new business quotations to protect long-term profitability.
- Scenario Architecture: Lead scenario modeling and stress-testing to guide leadership through business volatility.
Operational Excellence & Financial Stewardship
- Compliance & Integrity: Oversee management reporting, ensuring group policy and US GAAP compliance and a strong internal controls/SOX environment.
- Cash & Risk Management: Oversee cash flow reviews and hedging strategies to protect the balance sheet and liquidity.
- Productivity Measurement: Quantify the financial impact of operational and lean initiatives, directing resources to the highest-value projects.
Transformation & Innovation
- Finance Transformation: Lead automation of FP&A workflows, shifting the team from reporting to high-value analysis.
- Project Leadership: Serve as Finance Lead on cross-functional initiatives, including transfer pricing and tax compliance projects.
- Standardization: Build best-practice procedures and documentation for a scalable, resilient FP&A function.
People Leadership & Organizational Design
- Talent Development: Mentor and coach the FP&A team on technical and business partnering skills.
- Resource Planning: Use competency mapping and roles/responsibilities matrices to align the team with future needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; 10+ years in FP&A, including 5+ years managing teams, ideally within a multinational manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP and financial planning systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership.
- Experience driving process improvement and automation, including RPA and AI tools.
- Strong project management skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
