Job Summary

Fraser Residence Bangkok in Thailand is slated to open in 2026. We are seeking an experienced Director of People & Culture, reporting directly to the property General Manager. This role contributes a high level of generalist knowledge and expertise and is accountable for talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management and development for property employees. The role generally works with considerable independence, developing processes to accomplish objectives in alignment with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

Core Function

  • To support the opening of the property on time on brand
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders and managers as a trusted People & Culture Leader to deliver effective People & Culture strategy, in alignment with applicable regulations, and Company's Policy & Procedure
  • Translates business priorities into property People & Culture strategies, plans and actions in relevant functions including activities such as workforce and manpower budget planning, performance management, employee relations and reward
  • Implements and sustains People & Culture initiatives at the property.
  • Manage the talent pipeline at the property through the talent review process
  • Delivers sound results by coordinating implementations, tracking results, problem solving, and leveraging efforts across units wherever possible.

Talent Acquisition

  • Design a Talent Acquisition Plan in accordance with the workforce planning and pre-opening activities.
  • Analyses open positions to balance the development of existing talent and business needs.
  • Develops workforce strategy (in collaboration with hiring manager) relating to hiring practices; consults with hiring manager on compensation, benefits, etc.
  • Monitors sourcing process and outcomes of the process.
  • Ensures managers are competent in assessing and evaluating candidates.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Review and propose changes to the employee compensation and benefits from time to time to remain competitive
  • Develop and execute employee engagement strategies to improve internal communication and positive culture
  • Remains current and knowledgeable in the internal and external compensation and work competitive environments.
  • Champions the communication and proper use of total compensation systems, tools, programs, policies, etc.
  • Participates in quarterly internal equity analysis; reviews internal equity reports and surface issues needing resolution.
  • Creates and implement s total compensation management packages/offers, particularly recognition and incentive programs directed towards property priorities.

Employee Relations and Learning & Development

  • Ensures completion of the training on duties and responsibilities, as outlined in applicable job description(s) for all employees.
  • Oversees interviewing and selection practices, making sure that managers are properly trained and equipped.
  • Continually reinforces positive employee relations concepts.
  • Participate in group, global, or cluster projects as assigned
  • Perform other related ad-hoc duties as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business/ human resources/ hospitality management or equivalent
  • Experienced as People & Culture Lead in reputable international hotels.
  • Experience in pre-opening / start-ups will be added advantage
  • Proficient in English and Thai language
  • Sound knowledge of the hospitality industry
  • Strong analytical problem- solving skills and high computer literacy.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-driven and able to work within tight deadlines
