Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Retail & Operations to lead the nationwide retail network for a market-leading multi-brand retailer in Thailand. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, commercial performance, and in-store customer experience across a diverse portfolio of locations. You will play a critical part in shaping the retail strategy and scaling the business in line with growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Strategy & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the retail operations strategy to align with broader company objectives.
  • Own the retail P&L; ensure stores meet revenue, margin, and productivity goals.
  • Lead expansion, relocation, and optimization plans based on market dynamics and performance analytics.

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and uphold consistent SOPs across store operations, stock management, and visual execution.
  • Partner with logistics, merchandising, and supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory flow and availability.
  • Leverage data and technology to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead a large field operations team, including regional and area managers.
  • Coach and develop store leadership to deliver strong performance, service culture, and team engagement.
  • Champion high-performing, customer-centric teams through training and KPI alignment.

Customer Experience & Omnichannel Integration

  • Elevate in-store service and experience through staff training, digital tools, and layout optimization.
  • Oversee integration of offline and online channels including click-and-collect, loyalty, and cross-channel promotions.
  • Monitor customer insights and translate them into actionable improvements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional departments including Marketing, Buying, E-Commerce, and Finance.
  • Ensure brand consistency and operational synergy across all store formats and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate on digital transformation and in-store tech enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Retail Management or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in retail operations, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale store networks.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving profitability and operational KPIs.
  • Experience with omnichannel retail, customer experience transformation, and retail tech integration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Thai and English.
