The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially driven Director of Sales (MICE & Wholesale) to lead cluster‑level sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and build strong partnerships across the MICE and Wholesale segments. This role plays a critical part in positioning Ascott as a preferred hospitality partner across key markets.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Revenue Leadership

  • Lead business development initiatives across MICE and Wholesale segments, identifying new markets, distribution channels, and revenue opportunities
  • Develop and execute cluster sales strategies, pricing frameworks, and annual business plans aligned with revenue and yield objectives
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management and property leadership to optimize performance and conversion

Market Strategy & Partnerships

Establish, manage, and grow strategic partnerships with:

  • Corporate clients
  • MICE agencies
  • Destination Management Companies (DMCs)
  • Industry platforms and partners

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to inform sales strategy and tactical decisions

Client Engagement & Account Management

  • Lead key client engagements including sales missions, site inspections, negotiations, and promotional activities
  • Oversee RFP processes, contract negotiations, and key account management to drive long‑term client retention and growth

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing sales team across the cluster
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide guidance, and foster a results‑driven sales culture
  • Ensure strong collaboration across Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and Operations teams

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in hospitality sales, including senior leadership exposure in MICE and/or Wholesale segments
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and sales / CRM / reporting systems
