Want to be part of an exciting team, with an international company and accompany your clients driving their growth Kantar's Insights division is looking for a new Research Director to join its Commercial team.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial in Thailand, with a strong spirit of partnership and excellence, you will oversee a set of key account client relationships. The director will own the account profitability, client engagement, retention, growth and maintain the quality of outcomes for all projects. The Director is a client facing role that requires a significant amount of business development activities and commercial targets to be achieved.

Job Goals

This role requires strategic and critical thinking, design, writing and presentation of highly valuable and meaningful analyses to help them build their marketing plan and their brand strategy through the following:

You will be managing customer relations with C-Level interlocutors and participate in the development of commercial activity. You will also produce highly valuable and innovative proposals to meet the strategic challenges of your customers. You will act as a thought leader with clients, building trust and credibility within the first 6 to 12 months.

Ideal Skills and Capabilities

  • We are looking for someone who has demonstrated ability in marketing research (agency or client side) and/or in brand measurement/brand health tracking/brand strategy/creative and ad testing, and adept at research and analysis and possess excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills.

  • Possess a Degree in Marketing, Communication (MA degree), Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of total work experience, preferably in marketing, market research and client insights
  • Strong analytical skills, have acquired an excellent understanding of client needs and possess a real ability to address strategic business questions by proposing innovative responses
  • Organized, a problem solver, self-directed, and demonstrate leadership and initiative, while at the same time being a committed team player.
  • Validated and proven competence in one of the following areas of expertise: project management overview, brand management, market understanding, people management, creative and ad testing
  • Hunting/new business development, particularly leveraging local market relationships with Thai conglomerates
  • Effectively bilingual and fluent in both Thai and English
