Key Responsibility:
- Lead and mentor a team of tech leads & engineers, overseeing engineering squads and ensuring the successful delivery of robust and scalable backend systems.
- Foster growth and innovation within our engineering practice by establishing and nurturing guilds and promoting best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, such as product owners, designers, business to shape product and technology roadmaps.
- Take ownership of the overall technology architecture, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple software components and services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in backend technologies.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in Software development, with expertise in NestJS, AWS Services, CI/CD, Postgres, and modular architecture.
- Hands-on experience Swift/Kotlin, ReactJS, NextJS, and AWS ECS.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading and inspiring cross-functional engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of scalable and distributed system design, as well as best practices for building robust and reliable backend systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, with a focus on ensuring high system availability.
- Solid knowledge of software development methodologies, agile practices, and CI/CD processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced startup or online marketplace environment is a plus.
