We are partnering with a well-established investment holding company to appoint a Director / Vice President – Investments. This is a strategic investment role focused on identifying, evaluating, executing and managing investments across the healthcare and biotechnology sectors.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping the firm's investment strategy, leading transaction execution, and supporting portfolio value creation across a diverse investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across the healthcare, biotechnology and life sciences sectors.
- Conduct financial modelling, commercial analysis, valuation, due diligence and investment recommendations.
- Manage end-to-end transaction execution, including structuring, negotiations and deal documentation.
- Monitor portfolio companies, working closely with management teams to support strategic growth and value creation.
- Develop investment theses through market research, industry analysis and competitive benchmarking.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, management teams, financial sponsors, investment banks and industry stakeholders.
- Prepare investment committee materials and present recommendations to senior management.
- Support fundraising, strategic partnerships and other corporate initiatives where required.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in investment banking, private equity, principal investments or corporate development.
- Strong transaction experience covering M&A, equity investments and capital raising.
- Demonstrated experience advising on or investing in the healthcare, biotechnology or life sciences sectors.
- Outstanding financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
- Commercially astute with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Life Sciences or a related discipline. An MBA or CFA would be advantageous.
Ideal Candidate
- Currently at Vice President or Director level within a leading investment bank, private equity fund, sovereign wealth fund or investment platform.
- Proven track record executing complex transactions within the healthcare and biotechnology sectors.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify attractive investment opportunities and drive value creation.
