Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Engineering and Drafting Management (40%):

Manage the engineering and drafting of presales and contracted projects. Partner with the sales team to grow the business profitably by establishing safe forming concepts and developing feasible engineering plans based on current workload and priorities. Plan, conduct and supervise assignments, review progress and evaluate results. Apply Technical Skills and Direction/Planning/Organization to ensure efficient and effective execution.

Structural Analysis (20%):

Ensure safe use of equipment by performing structural analysis of formwork and/or shoring. Compile calculations to be submitted with erection drawings for an Engineering Assurance review and approval prior to shipping equipment. Use Responsibility to ensure all structural designs meet safety standards and regulations, while maintaining EFCO's QUALITY expectations.

Project Supervision (15%):

Lead project kick-off meetings to establish the engineering plan, as well as weekly project meetings to track objectives to completion. Review and check the work of direct reports, including drawings and equipment lists, while coaching and counseling engineers, drafters, and checkers. Communicate with district personnel, including District Managers, Territory Managers, and Field Supervisors, Inventory Control Specialists, and Warehouse Managers to deliver SUPER SERVICE through effective project execution.

Leadership (10%):

Build and manage a team capable of consistently meeting engineering initiatives for the district. Lead hiring, development, and training of the engineering team. Provide Adaptability and Service Orientation to ensure timely employee performance reviews, development plans, salary administration, and retention strategies while maintaining an efficient operation.

Scorecard Assessment (15%):

Evaluate performance metrics specific to this role using EFCO's scorecard tool. Assess areas such as Philippines production group use, Revit utilization, contribution margin, and operational efficiency metrics like timely order entry. Leverage Analysis and Responsibility to ensure performance aligns with EFCO's strategic goals and maintain continuous improvement in these key areas.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 months EFCO experience or engineering experience (past management experience is a plus).
  • 10 years of project experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit (required).
  • Fluent in AutoCAD.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations, interpret specifications, and apply engineering judgment in non-typical design applications.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and training skills.
  • Strong PC skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Limited travel required.
