District Finance Business Partner
Job Description
Scope: Health Systems Finance Business Partner for Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines.
- Sign off the financials of the commercial organization (ORU).
- Responsible for the strategic and operational planning process. Partner closely with senior leadership to influence and shape business strategy by providing advanced financial insights, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and ensuring that financial considerations are central to all key decisions.
- Drive decisions on sales channels, ROI, investments in Market Share, (turn key) project assessments and supporting in financing solutions working with Philips Capital, banks, customers and channel partners.
- Responsible for performance cockpit and driving the delivery of the business and financial plans.
- Drive business/district performance: sales, profit margin, costs, working capital, and credit management.
- Drives the continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and systems by identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and leading cross-functional initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and strategic alignment in financial planning and performance management processes.
- Identifying, addressing and tracking of business issues.
- Business integrity: adherence to FCPA and GBP in cooperation with Legal & HR. Ensures the organization's financial practices adhere to the highest standards of integrity and compliance, including adherence to internal controls, corporate governance policies, and regulatory requirements, while also identifying areas for improvement.
- Business project funding, risk assessment, accounting understanding, knowledge of tax implications of different financing solutions, contract law basic knowledge.
- Acts as finance manager for the District(s) covering internal control, supply chain management, representation role to 3rd parties: auditors, customers and suppliers.
- To own and manage the strategic and operational (business / financial) planning process and performance management within the commercial organization and drive for the delivery of the committed results.
- Supports investment, divestment and M&A projects
Critical Experience And Competence
- Business partnering experience (preferably in healthcare related industry) is a must with good commercial and financial acumen
- Customer first, taking ownership to deliver fast, quality and integrity always, teaming up to win, eager to improve and inspire
- 10 years or above relevant working experience
- Change management skills and agile decision making
- Familiar and comfortable with large, international, multi-matrix environment
- Cultural agility
- Solid basis and experience in Accounting & Internal Control
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Proven people management and development skills
- Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- IT systems/Apps (SAP, Excel, EFR, PMA, SOFON, Foresight etc) hands on competence / ability to learn on the job for Philips internal systems.
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent.
