Role purpose

As the E2E Senior Business Controller in Thailand, this role will be a trusted partner to the CP management team. This role provides insightful financial analysis and recommendations to facilitate decision-making, target/strategy setting, and monitors business/financial performance to support profitable business growth and target delivery. Additionally, this position acts as the focal point for Thailand Regional office business control activities aligned with Regional Business Controllers and TH accounting team to meet Regional budget control as well as statutory/tax requirement.

Accountabilities

  • Lead end-to-end financial planning and analysis processes for CP, including Sales, COGS, MS&D, SG&A, R&D, and Working Capital/credit control. Ensure having comprehensive financial outlook & analysis to enable stretched financial target setting and performance delivery.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the management level. Develop and implement finance strategies/initiatives for continuous improvement aligned with organizational business objectives.
  • Strengthen Function cost and rebate/discount control to improve visibility/ROI to facilitate proper resource allocation and optimize financials.
  • Work as the focal point for cross functional business controlling activities of TH entities and also work with the stakeholders of Thailand Regional office. Support budget control for local operations of Regional office and service fee recharge scheme to the HQ in Switzerland.
  • Extend understanding of Business Controlling activities for FC business and Stat/tax/finance operation area as the next step.
  • Drive transparency and consistency in all financial aspects, ensure proper financial compliance controls and governance are in place. Understand relevant accounting/tax regulations (including Transfer Pricing), BOI requirements, other global/local policy including ICF(Internal Control Framework), Internal audit requirement/standard, DOA, other local policies etc and own policy control where relevant.
  • Support and take accountability of statutory/financial operation in relevant areas, such as external audit, statutory FS/CF outlook, Transfer Pricing review & assessment from Business controlling perspective.
  • Supervise one direct report (P&S/R&D controller) and coach other team members as a member of Country FLT (Finance Leadership Team) to strengthen capabilities of Finance team.
  • Work effectively and efficiently with internal shared service centres based in India to manage relevant operation and proper group financial reporting.
  • Work on ad-hoc Global/Regional/Local projects as necessary.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • Minimum 15 years experience all facets of accounting and business partnering role in an MNC environment, experience in both manufacturing/costing and Commercial.
  • Audit background/Certified Public Accountant is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to deliver reliable/accurate financial & management information.
  • Proficiency in ERP, excel, data analysis tools (SAP migration project is in progress)
  • Good in building relationship, effective communication, influencing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills both Thai and English
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

Country Thailand, also provides service to the Regional office based on the service agreement.
