Conduct independent reviews of the Landlord's EHS program (including emergency procedures), audit compliance, issue reports to Microsoft, and track required corrective actions until closure.
Verify that the Landlord has obtained all legally required environmental permits.
During each site visit:
Perform independent routine reviews of the Landlord's high-risk activities (HRA), including electrical safety, energy isolation, working at height, material handling, mobile equipment operation, lifting operations, confined spaces, ground disturbance, wall penetrations, and fire prevention/protection.
Provide feedback to Microsoft on the Landlord's ability to manage HRA-related risks during construction.
Review the Landlord's management processes to ensure workers are properly trained/qualified for tasks (with a focus on HRA performance), randomly verify worker qualifications.
Conduct comprehensive EHS status assessments and on-site observations, indicating risk levels via appropriate matrices/legends.
Develop and submit regular reports to Microsoft.
Assist Microsoft in tracking and ensuring the implementation of EHS incident-related corrective actions as required.
Conduct EHS site visits/inspections for other Microsoft projects in the same country/city when needed.
Required Qualifications
Senior-level Safety Expert with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior position.
Formal qualifications in health and safety management (relevant degree and/or professional certification).
Proven experience in construction health and safety management.
Track record of delivering mission-critical projects.
Strong communication skills and excellent report-writing abilities.
