Job summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading and managing all electrical engineering activities for solar rooftop and power plant projects, from site survey and design through construction, testing, and commissioning. The role ensures full compliance with utility requirements, international standards, and project specifications, while coordinating consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct site surveys for solar rooftop projects, including assessment of existing electrical systems,
- roof conditions, and available installation areas.
- Define system concept design, including inverter selection, string configuration, and interconnection scheme.
- Lead, coordinate, manage, and control consultants, contractors, and subcontractors for all electrical-related
- issues.
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve site issues.
- Review client requirements, utility regulations (PEA / MEA / EGAT), and ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE,
- NFPA, and local standards.
- Develop and review electrical system concepts, including PV systems, MV/LV distribution, substations, and
- grid interconnection.
- Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects.
- Using CAD software to draft designs.
Job Specification:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Engineer license in Electrical Power.
- At least 5-10 years direct experience of power plant or solar work
- Knowledge of technical requirements for grid connection and Experience in managing the grid connection process is preferred.
- Electrical power engineering principles and familiarity with computer and analytical tools as relate to equipment sizing, load flow and power quality
- Proven experience in electrical design tools with PVSyst
- Experience coordinating interconnection agreements with utility companies is preferred.
- Field construction and commissioning experience is preferred.
- Good command English language skills.
- Excellent time management and diagnostic skills.
