Job Summary

BDC is looking for an Electrical Engineer to handle developing the sequence of operations and system architectures for onsite control and monitoring systems, and serves as the subject matter expert for all Controls/ELV systems, providing technical recommendations to ensure systems operate in line with design intent and operational readiness. This role will be based in our Chonburi Data Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain control, monitoring, and BMS system architectures, sequences of operation, and accurate as-built documentation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Controls/ELV systems, providing technical recommendations to ensure design intent and operational readiness.
  • Lead system integration, testing, commissioning, and improvement activities for new and existing facilities.
  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance and inspection of control and monitoring systems across mechanical, electrical, cabling, fire/life safety, BMS, and digital security systems.
  • Lead assigned maintenance tasks, perform troubleshooting, and ensure minimal disruption to operations and customers.
  • Oversee vendor and OEM maintenance activities, ensuring strict compliance with approved method statements and signing off completed works.
  • Manage Change Control processes for corrective, preventive, and modification works in accordance with SOPs and safety requirements, including LOTO.
  • Provide onsite technical support, guide first-level fault analysis, and support testing and commissioning activities with project teams and vendors.
  • Deliver on-the-job training and technical guidance to engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with customer SLAs, including incident escalation, reporting timelines, and work order closure.
  • Monitor critical spare parts, tools, and inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Enforce safety programs, PPE compliance, SOP/ERP implementation, and regulatory requirements, escalating risks or discrepancies to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field with min. 3 years of relevant work experience in Data Centre environment or Hi-tech factory/plant (e.g., semi-conductor).
  • Good Proficiency in Thai and English
  • Good knowledge of all laws that govern building management and maintenance, including building safety, emergency evacuation and environment protection.
  • Candidates must possess a License for Professional Practice and/or Certification in the Electric, Electronic, and Computer Technology sector, including Building Electrician Level 1 or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge with hands on knowledge/experience and understanding of critical data center systems, including HVAC, Standby emergency power, uninterruptible power supplies, and associated infrastructure.
  • Proficient in computer applications and software, including commercial computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
