Job Summary
BDC is looking for an experienced Electrical Expert to be based in our Chonburi Data Centre. The role provides electrical expertise across the data center lifecycle, including design reviews, commissioning, risk assessment, and incident support. He also leads resolution of complex technical issues and drives continuous improvement in operations and maintenance. Additionally, he supports energy optimization initiatives, delivers training, and provides regional support across APAC.
Responsibilities:
- Review technical documents throughout data center lifecycle phases; provide electrical expertise to mitigate major risks and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct thorough design reviews and oversee Testing & Commissioning processes for new data centers, modifications, and expansions.
- Enhance and standardize data center operation and maintenance policies and technical procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Perform comprehensive solution reviews and risk assessments for critical change management initiatives.
- Provide technical support and expert guidance during major incidents.
- Spearhead resolution of complex technical issues related to data center electrical equipment; analyze root causes of critical electrical equipment failures.
- Develop energy-efficient optimization solutions for data center operations; collaborate on energy-saving projects and equipment upgrades.
- Deliver in-depth knowledge training to Critical Operations team.
- Provide regional support for data centers across APAC.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior electrical engineer in data centres or critical facilities (nuclear power plants, semiconductor manufacturing plants, financial institutions, etc.).
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting critical electrical equipment, including high/low voltage switchgear, diesel generator sets, and UPS systems.
- In-depth knowledge of data center critical systems and equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOO).
- Fluent in Thai with strong proficiency in English is required. Ability to read Chinese technical documentation is ad advantage.
- Based in Thailand with willingness to travel as needed.
