Engineer 1, Services (Discovery)

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions across our digital platforms. You will work on complex, high-impact projects, mentor junior engineers, and help shape our technology direction. This role requires deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to innovate and continuously improve.

You'll be joining a fast-moving, Agile team building full-stack applications for modern web and backend environments, with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall experience is 3-5 yrs. BE and any masters.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Node.js.
• Build intuitive user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Architect solutions involving both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and integrate services using Kafka.
• Lead by example in applying Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, UX, and QA, to deliver business-critical features.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices.
• Continuously improve system architecture, code quality, and development processes.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, ensure observability, and drive incident resolution.
• Bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for pushing boundaries.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Backend:Java & Spring Boot
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React
• Runtime / Integration: Node.js, Kafka, Docker, REST
• Databases: Strong experience with both Relational Database (Oracle, DB2, Prostgres SQL, NoSQL (Mongo DB, Redis DB) databases.
• Development Practices:Test Driven Development (TDD)/Junit/API Test, Agile Scrum or Kanban
• Innovation Exposure: Experience or interest in AI technologies(Co pilot, cursor) and their applications in modern software systems.

Soft Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to challenge norms and drive continuous improvement
• Leverage AI agents to improve design, development and delivery process

• Domain Experience: Retail & eCommerce, product data management
