Key Responsibilities
Mechanical design of fiber-optic pump packages and components
Mechanical design of fixture/tooling and equipment for fiber-optic component manufacturing
Generate conceptual design, layout, prototyping, bill of materials, piece part and assembly drawings
Working closely with optical, process and device engineers for design optimization and NPI (New Production Introduction)
Interact with vendors for piece parts specification, procurement, and quality assurance
Select vendors and complete first article qualification
Perform component qualification and generate reports
Document engineering reports, engineering drawings, and equipment design specifications
