Engineer Sr, Mfg Process Sustaining

Lumentum's optical components and subsystems are part of virtually every type of telecom, enterprise, and data center network.Our Switzerland site is a leading design center of ultrafast pico- and femtosecond laser systems featuring excellent performance and long-term opto-mechanical stability. Our products mainly serve commercial applications in micromachining markets.
We expand our R&D team into our site in Thailand and seek an energetic Senior Optical Engineer to work in a fast paced, international development environment closely with R&D and production.
Job Responsibilities
- To own the products in mass production including assembly processes and test document to end of life.
- To drive activities in identification and continuous improvement on yield improvement, Bone-piles reduction, and cost reduction
- To support problem solving on moderate scope and complexity
- To execute best known continuous improvements methods like FMEAs, SDRs, A3s and 3P activities,
- To drive product variants with the team from concept to implementation,
- To do independent characterization and analysis of laser systems,
Qualifications And Requirements
- A minimum B.Sc or B.Eng degree in Lasers, Photonics, Physics, Mechanical, Electrical with >5 years of industry experience in electronics or optical product manufacturing.
- Computer knowledge: MS Office. Knowledge of Jira, Agile, Confluence and Miro is a plus.
- Teamwork orientation with strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills, as well as commitment to continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated, able to plan tasks and small projects, to adhere to deadlines under tight project schedules
- Computer knowledge: MS Office. Knowledge of Jira, Agile, Confluence and Miro is a plus
- Familiar with common electronic and optical terminology
- Strong data analytical skills, Initiative-taking, goal oriented, task driven collaborator
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Thai
- Flexibility in work hours to support conference calls
