Position Overview Account Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing technical service delivery, engineering operations, and client relationship management for assigned accounts. This role serves as the primary technical point of contact between clients and internal engineering teams, ensuring seamless project execution and high-quality service delivery.
Required Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Relevant industry certifications advantageous. Experience Requirements Minimum 7-10 years of engineering experience with at least 3-5 years in client-facing roles or account management. Proven track record of managing complex technical projects and leading engineering teams. Experience in facilities management, construction, or real estate services preferred. Technical Competencies Strong technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines. Proficiency in relevant software applications, project management tools, and industry-specific systems. Understanding of building systems, infrastructure, and maintenance operations. Leadership & Communication Skills Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Service Delivery Lead technical teams in delivering engineering services, facilities management solutions, and project implementations for key client accounts. Ensure all technical deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and client specifications. Oversee troubleshooting, maintenance operations, and emergency response procedures. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary technical liaison for assigned accounts, building strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery. Conduct regular client meetings, present technical solutions, and address concerns promptly. Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with engineering services. Team Management & Development Lead, mentor, and develop engineering team members across multiple disciplines. Coordinate resource allocation, workload distribution, and skills development initiatives. Conduct performance evaluations and provide technical guidance to ensure team effectiveness. Operations Management Oversee operations, ensuring proper planning, execution, and delivery within scope, budget, and timeline parameters. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
