Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Interns to join our Automation & Control Systems team. This internship provides practical exposure to PLC programming, industrial control systems, networking, and engineering documentation. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

·      Assist in PLC programming, testing, and debugging under the guidance of senior engineers.

·      Support software development using C++, Python, and IEC 61131-3 programming standards.

·      Prepare and maintain control system documentation, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), I/O lists, software documentation, operating manuals, and test reports.

·      Assist in industrial Ethernet and control network configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.

·      Perform network testing and document communication results for PLC, HMI, SCADA, and field devices.

·      Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities where applicable.

·      Maintain engineering records, revision control, and project documentation.

·      Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support project execution.

·      Follow company quality procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

·      Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:

o  Electronics Engineering

o  Electrical Engineering

o  Computer Engineering

o  Mechatronics Engineering

o  Automation & Control Engineering

o  Computer Science or related engineering discipline

·      Final-year students or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills

·      Basic knowledge of PLC programming concepts.

·      Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming languages (Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text, etc.).

·      Basic programming knowledge in C++ and/or Python.

·      Understanding of industrial communication protocols and networking fundamentals.

·      Ability to prepare technical documentation.

·      Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills

·      Exposure to PLC platforms such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Codesys.

·      Basic knowledge of HMI, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.

·      Familiarity with Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, or similar industrial communication protocols.

·      Understanding of software version control is an advantage.
