We are partnering with a leading international data center developer to hire an Engineering Lead based in Bangkok, Thailand. Our client develops, owns, and operates hyperscale digital infrastructure across Asia and is expanding rapidly in the region. This role plays a key part in delivering large-scale data centre projects, overseeing design, engineering, and project execution from early concept through commissioning.
About the Role
As part of the regional development team, you will manage both on-site and off-site activities across design, engineering, and project delivery. You will work closely with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure each project meets the highest standards of technical quality, cost efficiency, and timeline certainty.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate design, engineering, and project delivery activities across consultants, suppliers, and contractors
- Review and approve all technical design and engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements
- Oversee construction activities for new builds and major capital projects, including scope, budget, schedule and risk management
- Define project success metrics and ensure alignment with customer and business requirements
- Evaluate design intent, project risk, delivery programme and optimisation opportunities
- Drive total project quality, including support for commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to specifications, safety and design intent
- Perform additional duties as required in support of major project delivery
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- Professional registration with the Council of Engineers Thailand (COET) strongly preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in MEP engineering design for data centers or other mission-critical facilities
- Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to lead under pressure
- Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes
