About the Company

Aidentifi is an AI-native recruitment / executive search services + SAAS business. We're building a closed-loop intelligence layer for search: candidates, clients, interactions, decisions, and outcomes. That means data ingestion, ranking, LLM-based brief parsing, transcription / interaction capture, and feedback loops that improve how search is run. This is not generic SaaS. The product sits inside a live service business. The job is to take messy, real-world workflow and turn it into reliable systems.

About the Role

We're hiring a founding-level CTO / VP Engineering to own architecture and build the core system. This is a hands-on builder role, not a management role first. The team will be very lean initially (0–2 engineers). You'll work closely with recruiters, understand how search actually happens, and ship software that changes throughput, judgment, and outcomes. This role is closer to a founding engineer / product architect than a big-company engineering executive.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical architecture across ingestion, data model, ranking, brief parsing, interaction capture, and feedback loops
  • Build core backend systems: APIs, async jobs, queues, data pipelines, and internal services
  • Design and ship LLM / AI workflows: prompts, retrieval, embeddings, reranking, evals, and orchestration
  • Own the data layer: Postgres, vector search / pgvector or equivalent, sync pipelines, auditability, and permissions
  • Build integrations with sources and systems such as Apollo, Coresignal, transcription tools, and other APIs / MCP-style connectors
  • Build lightweight internal tools / operator interfaces when needed
  • Work as a forward-deployed engineer with the business — sit in the workflow, spot bottlenecks, encode logic, iterate fast
  • Make pragmatic stack decisions; keep the system simple, legible, and extensible
  • Over time, help shape the early engineering function and hire against it

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience of software engineering experience
  • A real mix of big tech + startup

Required Skills

  • Strong end-to-end shipping ability — not just features, but real systems in production
  • Strong backend / systems depth: APIs, async processing, data pipelines, schema design, infra thinking
  • Comfortable with a likely stack shape such as:
  • Python or TypeScript for backend services
  • Postgres
  • Vector DB / pgvector
  • Workflow / orchestration layers
  • Cloud infra
  • React / Next.js for internal tools
  • Real experience with LLM / AI systems:
  • prompting
  • orchestration
  • embeddings
  • retrieval / RAG
  • ranking / reranking
  • evals
  • Strong integrations muscle: third-party APIs, webhooks, auth flows, connector patterns
  • Able to build basic frontend when needed — no dependence on a separate team for every internal tool
  • Good product sense; comfortable working directly with non-technical operators
  • Low ego, high ownership, good judgment

Preferred Skills

This role is best for someone who still likes building. If you've moved fully into org management and away from systems work, this is probably not the right fit.

Pay range and compensation package

Strong cash compensation, with equity possible for the right candidate.
