We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring plant safety, compliance, and efficiency. You will oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets, and drive machine reliability to minimize downtime and support smooth operations.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in manufacturing engineering, including automation, PLC, and facility management, along with proven leadership and problem-solving skills. You will collaborate cross-functionally to support operational excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainability initiatives across the plant.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively
- Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems
- Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximizing planned downtime and reducing unplanned downtime
- Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery
- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken.
- Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of siteCc
- Propose and involve in any infrastructure expansion, construction, renovation as well as modification and replacement of assets.
- Develop and impart basic knowledge on operating plant machineries, facilities and equipments
- Ensure that facilities are ready for operation particularly and other substations under EWS Group
- Working closely and effectively with the Management Team, Country SHE Team and Plant Manager and other departments and functions to ensure the following actions are implemented on-time and in-scope.
- Drive the CAPEX investment project and manage the maintenance OPEX, Budget plan that includes monitor and follow actual spending compared with the plan.
- Consult for engineering terms to all related functions .
- Sustainability & Resource Efficiency: Implement engineering solutions to improve energy efficiency (Renewable Energy Adoption).
Reporting Structure:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electric Engineering
- Passed Occupational Health and Safety or related
- Extensively experience in engineering and maintenance field at least 10 years in manufacturing industry
- Strong in Process and operational safety, Health and Environmental management both external and internal
- Expert computer skill : AutoCad, Excel, Google work sheet (If have Power BI or Looker studio are preferable)
- Fluent in communicate in English
- Knowledge for PLC program and Automation system
- Knowledge for Building and Facilities maintenance
- Knowledge for Calibration system
- Problem solving, Making decision and Project management skill
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Good spirit teamwork with full service mind and self-motivation for improvement
- Good command of TPM , Lean, Six Sigma skills are preferable
- Strong negotiation skills with contractors and clients
- Good attitude and flexibility
