The Team

The Infrastructure Team is responsible for managing and operating the networks, servers, and storage platforms that power the company's global services. The team supports all products across the organization and works with a wide range of systems and technologies.

As part of this team, you will work on a mission-critical private cloud environment consisting of over 800,000 cores across hundreds of Kubernetes clusters, OpenStack virtual machines, and bare-metal servers. The environment is continuously evolving to support new technologies and business needs, offering engineers the opportunity to work on modern infrastructure at massive scale.

The Opportunity

The Compute Platform team in Bangkok is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to help scale and evolve its compute platform. The role focuses on infrastructure inventory, platform tooling, and lifecycle management across bare-metal infrastructure, virtual machines, and Kubernetes environments.

This position combines technical leadership with people management, guiding a cross-functional engineering team while ensuring the platform delivers reliable data, tooling, and infrastructure capabilities that support decision-making at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership through system design, code contributions, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Lead and develop a cross-functional team of software and systems engineers.
• Drive the design and development of platform tooling to improve infrastructure visibility, efficiency, and lifecycle management.
• Lead design reviews and contribute to platform standards and technical direction.
• Own the team roadmap and ensure delivery, reliability, and operational outcomes.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Explore and adopt emerging technologies to improve platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on coding experience in a modern programming language (Golang preferred).
• Experience working with large-scale infrastructure platforms including Kubernetes, OpenStack, virtual machines, and containers.
• Experience with platform stability, resilience, and observability.
• Strong focus on testing, quality, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and managing delivery outcomes.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach to engineering decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing large-scale asset or inventory management systems.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or AWX.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals in large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Experience integrating Generative AI tools into engineering workflows or platforms.
