About the role - you will:

  • Assemble, align, and integrate mechanical and electrical sub-systems for sputtering equipment based on schematics and build instructions.
  • Install components such as vacuum chambers, pumps, valves and control panels.
  • Perform functional and quality checks during and after equipment installation.
  • Support basic tool troubleshooting and rework for both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Assist with equipment installation, conversion, and upgrades as required.
  • Work closely with engineering teams on build improvements and reliability enhancements.
  • Adhere to safety and cleanroom standards throughout all assembly and support activities.

About you:

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and electrically/mechanically inclined.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom and in a structured manufacturing environment.
  • Open to starting on a normal weekday shift and transitioning to a permanent 12-hour shift (including nights/weekends) as required by operational needs.

Your experience includes:

  • Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience in equipment assembly, mechanical or electrical troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as torque wrenches, multimeters, and vacuum gauges is a plus.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments and with vacuum systems is advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience are welcome.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
